Coach Katie Lamond joins up for Red Star Camp UK 2023.

Red Star Basketball Camp UK is delighted to announce that Katie Lamond will be joining us on the coaching roster for 2023.

Coach Lamond is coming off the back of another appearance on the bench with the North Region at the Aspire All-Star Weekend. The Leeds based coach will add to an already deepened roster of female-focused coaches at this year's camp with more to be announced.

Camp Director Matt Newby was delighted to have another talented female coach with us for this year's camp:

“Katie has made incredible strides in the last 24 months as a coach. with two tenures under her belt as an Aspire Head Coach and furthermore taking responsibility for the U13’s girls from the north in back to back super regionals. Underpinned with experience from multiple roles within the Yorkshire regional programmes of the past and learnings from both JNL with COLBC and her BUCS campaigns with Leeds University. She is moving up the ranks with recent successes in both and we look forward to her joining us at camp."

Following the success of Red Star Camp 2022, Coach Lamond is looking forward to joining the coaching team this year:

“I am incredibly lucky for the opportunity to be involved in Red Star this year. I find myself in a remarkable position to not only get to work with some outstanding young people, but exceptional coaches too. It's a privilege to have this opportunity to learn from some of the best."
