More high-quality added for 2025 with another female role-model.

Red Star Basketball Camp UK is delighted to announce that Coach Katie Lamond will rejoin the coaching staff for Red Star Camp UK 2025.

Katie’s return to the floor at Red Star Camp UK 2025 bolsters an impressive line up of up and coming coaching talents from the women’s basketball fraternity. Katie is homegrown from within the COLBC basketball pathway and remains passionate as ever about the development of the women’s game. Katie also has significant experience with the domestic performance pathway with tenures at Aspire, Super Regional and most recently as part of the national team staff for England.

Director Matt Newby was excited to confirm Coach Lamond for our 2025 camp:

“It is always important to me that Katie returns to Red Star Camp each summer. As a club coach she is dedicated to the multiple facets of the City of Leeds programme, leading the All Girls agenda and working on all levels, Community - Development - Performance - Elite. This makes her an incredibly well-rounded coach and a popular member of our Red Star Staff."

Coach Lamond was excited to be back on camp for a fourth year:

“Ready to return to my favourite event of the year! It’s always a pleasure to not only reunite with staff, coaches and players, but looking forward to meeting those new to Red Star, experiencing the environment for the first time. Once again I am excited to learn from those around me. Witnessing how the camp has progressed over the last few years is phenomenal and I am looking forward to seeing what’s in store this year. It’s an incredible opportunity and as always I am extremely lucky to be involved in such a prestigious camp, with some truly amazing people."
